Honoured to participate on a team of dedicated fellow Knights who volunteer their resources to help so many causes of our Parish and the community it serves. Nominated into the role of Treasurer in May 2024 to oversee the financial responsibilities associated with all Council initiated programs. Ready for the commitment into my second year as Treasurer. Thank you to all those who have entrusted me to execute my duties to support our Council’s participation for the greater good.
Rotary Shoebox Project
Nogales, Sonora, Mexico 🇲🇽
I’m very fortunate to be invited for participation in this very worthwhile project in Mexico through Rotary International. The greatest gift are the smiles of happiness from the recipients of this bounty that means so much to them.
These literal shoeboxes are age appropriate from newborns to 17 year-olds. Contents include basic toiletries, school supplies, clothing items (hats, mitts, socks), and treats. Additionally, other items distributed are coats, footwear, sports items, and blankets that are big hit usually provided locally. Parents receive food gift baskets with sometimes household items.
